About AVCAT (JP-5):
AVCAT, also known as JP-5, is a military specification aviation turbine fuel with a high flash point, primarily used on aircraft carriers. It is a kerosene-type fuel that meets British Specification DEF STAN 91-86 AVCAT/FSII. The NATO code for JP-5 is F-44.
